Creating products for digital health

Hi!

I am a data scientist and product owner at BI X, the digital lab of Boehringer Ingelheim. For the past 6 years, I have been part of various cross-functional teams that develop digital products for drug discovery, translational medicine, remote monitoring and patient rehabilitation.

Prior to joining BI X I had an extensive career in academia. I earned my PhD in biology from the University of East Anglia in 2011, after graduating from the University of Lisbon. I then worked as a post-doctoral researcher and bioinformatician at the University of Oxford, University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. My main research interest has been to unravel the genetic basis of biological diversity, using a combination of molecular and computational techniques. In addition to my work in evolutionary biology, I have also contributed to research projects on climate science, obesity and cancer.
